     .......The value of the "Sin Sop"  (dowry) is dependant on various factors eg: The Bride's beauty (or otherwise?) ...Previously married or not? ...Does she have kids or not?  (if not... is the lady a virgin ?[a delicate question ...be careful], her education level (a doctor or lawyer etc could be a VERY expensive bride) Does she have a job (& how well paid?) ...Her family backgound (rich or not?) Possessions in her name (eg land/ house, car etc?)  Sin Sop is paid by both foreigners marrying Thais & Thai /Thai marriages.......

          .........Negotiations for the value of the Sin Sop are often best done by an intermediary (Looking-4-Love staff will conduct these delicate proceedings on your behalf [in Thai & English] for a modest fee, if required).......

THAI PEOPLE ARE A PROUD RACE with a LONG  unoccupied (by western nations) history. The Thai Royal Family is VERY  important to them (so tread VERY carefully). OK their traditions are  different from western values in many respects, but that does not always mean we are right & they wrong. As in ANY country you will find good & bad, so 1.) Be careful with your money (there are serious scammers around [& some of them look like angels [ever hear that song "One Night in Bangkok"]).... 2.) Choose your wife VERY carefully (example:Does she have a "respectable" job?) 3.) Stay polite & calm at ALL times.... 4.) Show respect for Thai traditions...... & enjoy the almost "other world" experience of this amazing country... General Manager June is a trustworthy intermediary... You can rely on her good intentions
