               All Ladies featured on the following pages have been personally interviewed by General Manager Ruenrom Jumpaburi ( June ) and are believed to be respecable persons from good ( but not necessarily rich families). Many (but not all) come from farming backgrounds, some will even own land in their own name. Some are quite well educated & may have, or be studying for a degree. Sadly some may also be divorced & even more sadly be a single parent......

Lovely Lady & Lovely Kid......But no Husband.... Sad!

        .....Their main interest in almost all cases is a happy & long married life, & the best way to pursue this end is to follow the Thai tradition of meeting the family(including the Mother [often the principal negotiator in such matters]) & seek their approval. Then if their blessing is required (highly advisable) a dowry ("Sin Sop") is negotiated (by all parties) & paid usually half up front ...( for the protection of the man a pre payment contract can be drawn up & signed at this stage . Looking-4-Love staff will build a suitable custom contract (in Thai & English) if required.

Example of a  CO-HABITATION &/OR MARRIAGE CONTRACT (in Thai & English [signed, thumb printed, DNA sampled & witnessed).

          ........The remaining factors normally involved are the marriage ceromony (to be paid for by the parents (including monks, band, banquet,rental of all tables, chairs, tents, stage[for speeches] etc......

OK, now get ready for  some serious bowing, in front of a looooong row of monks... (Ah!....git yo face down low white boy, where yo tink yo at?)

 ...... Also (sorry Guys) a gold necklace ( & probably wedding/ear rings [for the Bride]are customarily purchased) & don't forget the rental of traditinal wedding clothes for the bride & groom. ALL these last are paid for by the man......(Oh stop complaining [you will be the envy of all your friends back home!.... Anyway it's only money!)

     .......The value of the "Sin Sop" is dependant on various factors eg: The Bride's beauty (or otherwise?) ...Previously married or not? ...Does she have kids or not?  (if not... is the lady a virgin ?[a delicate question ...be careful], her education level (a doctor or lawyer etc could be VERY expensive) Does she have a job (& how well paid?) ...Her family backgound (rich or not?) Possessions in her name (eg land/ house, car etc?)  Sin Sop is paid by both foreigners marrying Thais & Thai /Thai marriages.......

          .........Negotiations for the value of the Sin Sop are often best done by an intermediary (Looking-4-Love staff will conduct these delicate proceedings on your behalf [in Thai & English] for a modest fee, if required).......

PLEASE NOTE: That the Thai people are a proud race with a LONG  unoccupied (by western nations) history. The Thai Royal Family is VERY  important to them (so tread carefully). OK their traditions are  different from western values in many respects, but that does not always mean we are right & they wrong. As in ANY country you will find good & bad, so 1.) Be careful with your money (there are serious scammers around [& some of them look like angels). 2.) Choose your wife VERY carefully (example:Does she have a "respectable" job?) 3.) Stay polite & calm at ALL times. 4.) Show respect for Thai traditions...... & enjoy the almost "other world" experience of this amazing country...
